Three Doors Down - Here By Me

I hope you’re doing fine out there without me
‘Cause I’m not doing so good without you
The things I thought you’d never know about me
Were the things I guess you always understood

So how could I have been so blind for all these years?
Guess I only see the truth through all this fear,
And living without you…

And everything I had in this world
And all that I’ll ever be
It could all fall down around me.
Just as long as I have you,
Right here by me.

I can’t take another day without you
‘Cause baby, I could never make it on my own
I’ve been waiting so long, just to hold you
And to be back in your arms where I belong

Sorry I can’t always find the words to say
But everything I’ve ever known gets swept away
Inside of your love…

And everything I had in this world
And all that I’ll ever be
It could all fall down around me.
Just as long as I have you,
Right here by me.

As the days grow long I see
That time is standing still for me
When you’re not here

Sorry I can’t always find the words to say
Everything I’ve ever known gets swept away
Inside of your love

And everything I had in this world
And all that I’ll ever be
It could all fall down around me.
Just as long as I have you,
Right here by me.

And everything I had in this world
And all that I’ll ever be
It could all fall down around me.
Just as long as I have you,
Right here by me.

Jarod included the lyrics above in one of the emails he sent to me while I was in HK.

Reading back on the emails made me recall how steadfast you are. You are my rock.

“Don’t worry too much, we’ll be fine.”

Because a photo speaks a thousand words :)

I’m so in love with Adobe Photoshop :) I knowla, my photo-editing still abit the amateurish compared to KinkyBlueFairy, but I’m learning, ok? Im also spending waaaaay too much time editing my pics. :( Bad FJ!

Met up with Sinthi today and went to Sungai Wang to shop! After that we went all the way to KLCC to try Bakin’ Boys‘ cookies! Yummy! I have found a perfect substitute for the now-no-more-available-in-Malaysia Mrs Fields brownies! :D I tried their classic cookie, the Solitaire…mmm…crunchy on the outside, with a soft melty butter cookie inside and a dark chocolate centre! When you bite down on the dark chocolate centre, it is EXACTLY like Mrs Fields brownies! The cookies are going from RM 3.20 (different prices for different varieties) and the muffins about RM 3.60 I think. The next time I’m in KLCC, I’ll try their Cranberry White Chocolate Muffin! *drool*

Anyway, a few (read: little) pics from today and my purchases: -

I think the pic pretty much explains it all :P

I love my new jeans! I have always wanted to buy a new pair of low-slung jeans similar to my Diesel ones, but the ones I like (also from Diesel) are always RM120!!! If I can’t even afford to buy a RM46 shorts, where to find money for RM120 jeans leh? Luckily, we went into this shop called Beans a few shops next to Radioactive and lo and behold! They are selling low slung jeans like nobody’s business. EVERY SINGLE PAIR OF JEANS THERE IS LOW SLUNG! Prices are reasonable, less than RM80 (well, I didn’t see one that is more than RM80…but I didn’t look through the entire rack, so I could be mistaken). My darling faded grey jeans costs RM 68 (including RM6 for alteration at the tailor right next to it). Ahhhhh….so worth it, even though I am NOT SUPPOSED TO BUY ANTYHING TODAY!

And err…if you’re wondering why I’m wearing my sunnies in both pics, it’s not because :-

a) I fought with Jarod and cried so much until my eyes bengkak

b) the sales person punched me for taking up too much time in the changing rooms

c) my sister accidentally kicked me in her sleep, thus causing a swollen black bruise that is so horrifyingly ugly

d) I contracted the pop-eye disease (which is really GROSSNESS to the extreme!) from handling my poor molly too much…

It’s because THEY ARE NEW! I bought them today! I’m so happy! :D Today is such a productive and satisfying shopping day, even though I wasn’t really enthusiastic about going out, because I’m almost broke. Considering that I didn’t plan to BUY anything at all today, the haul is very gratifying :) Things I have always wanted and can’t seem to find the perfect candidates :)

Anyway. Sinthi and I were in Lot10 before going to Sungai Wang Plaza and Isetan was having this “Casual and Sports Fair”. So I went to check it out and a rack of sunnies were there…to cut a long story short, I bought the sunnies after much hesitation, because I wasn’t sure if it had complete UV protection (i.e UV 400). After much deliberation (actually, not really, because I really like them!), I decided to buy themla…RM29. What’s a little cataract compared to looking cool, eh? :P JOKING. It’s not cool to get blinded by UV rays, yo!

Anyways, I came across England Optical in Sg. Wang Plaza and wanted to ask them to check my sunnies for the UV protection. The lady there was really nice and helpful, but she was talking to another customer, so I said I’d come back for the checking later. BUT I FORGOT! *weeps*

Luckily, we were heading to KLCC after that, and there is a Focus Point in KLCC, and my spectacles are from Focus Point, so I decided to just be brazen and ask for the UV check. :) The 3 ladies there were extremely nice and THE GOOD NEWS IS THE SUNNIES ARE 100% UV PROTECTED! UV 400! Wooo! Who said you need to buy branded sunnies to get complete UV protection? WHO? :P

Now I can wear my sunnies without fear :)

Oh, and the FCUK specs frames were really nice! So colourful! But damn expensive…RM500++. WHY OH WHY IS NICE STUFF SO EXPENSIVE? WHY OH WHY AM I SO BROKE? I WANT TO JUMP OFF BUILDING NOW!

DON’T TRY TO DISSUADE ME! WORDS CANNOT CHANGE MY MIND!

(If you really want to save me, please start a Fund For FoongJin Shopping Expeditions. Thank you. )

Since I know you all miss seeing my eyes, I shall generously *ahem* insert a random Hong Kong Disneyland pic that has eyecandy for the girls, especially :D

Ahahahah, doesn’t Tarzan look like he’s not wearing anything? :P Damn Disneyland, corrupting the locals with their *ahem* kebudayaan barat and kuning and whatnots. :P

Mmmm…I miss Hong Kong Disneyland…didn’t have time to finish exploring the whole place :( I WANT TO GO BACK TO HK!!!

Disneyland…w00t! w00t!!

My feet ache!!! Heh. Isn’t that a familiar refrain? Because the most convenient way to travel in HK is on foot…

But today it was because I walked in Hong Kong Disneyland the whole whole whole day.

Bleh.

It was a great adventure though. The first thing that struck me about HK Disneyland is that everything screams “Quality!!! Got standard!!!” right down to their Mickey embossed manhole covers. The rides are tame compared to what Sunway Lagoon has to offer, but the selling point is the entire Disney experience.

:)

Lovely.

I’ll post more pictures when I’m feeling less tired.

See ya’ll!

I am such a culture vulture…NOT!

Went shopping again! But this time it was just for about 1 hr :(

OMG! I have decided that I want to migrate to Hong Kong. HAhahaha:D It is, literally, a shopper’s dream come true! And not only clothes ok? Got foooood, toys! Even fake Lego that is as good as the real, but costs a fraction of the price. Like there’s this huuuuugggggeeeee US NAVY-styled ship (forgot what they are called) that costs RM55!!!! If it was Lego, it would be in the hundreds, because after assembling it, it is about 40cm long! The proprietor even told my aunt that the fake Legos can be mixed with the real Legos to be assembled..that’s how good a copy they are :D

Anyway, I didn’t buy the fake Legos lah..

I bought an ECKORED jeans. Don’t scold me for being a spendthrift, because ECKORED is not available in Malaysia mah… I think…Besides, the price was damn cheap for such a branded jeans…about…RM5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wahahhahaha!!! No shit! It is priced at HKD 9.90. WTF MAN!! Cheaper than a plate of chee cheong fun here!!! And no, the label is not cut off :P

Besides the jeans, my aunt also bought me a bomber jacket! Lovely lovely reversible bomber jacket. One side is a classy shade of brown and the other a pink satin finish. I have always wanted a bomber jacket, because girls who wear bomber jackets with tight jeans look so damn sexy. See what I said about being a shopper’s dream come true? My fur-trimmed jacket also another one…If you thought my RM25 jacket was cheap, then this will blow your mind! A lovely high quality warm beautiful faultless bomber jacket…going for RM20!!!!!!!!

Shit!!! I really really really like it. My aunt said that I can bring it back to Malaysia if I wanted to, but I don’t think so la…where to wear, right?

New jeans and jacket. Hehehe…pardon the house slippers :P

My sister also bought a lovely knitted green jacket, which looks like something that Alia has. I have always liked it and admired it for its comfy, laze-around lounge look, and now my sister has one!!! RM20 also! :D Oh and my aunt has a discount card which means everything is 20% off!

*faints*

:D

In the afternoon, we went up to Victoria’s Peak to look at the entire view of HK and ate yummylicious expensive tea in the cafe overlooking the entire HK, which consists of pancakes and oysters. Trust me when I say it’s expensive. A glass of coke costs RM24. 0.O But it was a really good food. Yummy. Well, I guess you’re paying for the view.

Oooh and there were major riots in HK today. Roads were closed, sirens blaring, shops closing early, buildings beefing up on security, MTR stations shut down… Apparently nothing of this scale has ever happened in HK before. Which explains why there were so many pedestrians watching the demonstrations when we were watching the live telecast on TV. -_-|| Dangerous wan okay? The protestors were using violence agaunst the police and they retaliated with tear gas, water-jet spray, mace…

God, those caramels really stick to your teeth, don’t they? Gtg to look for something to unglue them off my teeth. Tata!

Day Uno

My feet are in need of some serious TLC. The heels have been throbbing ever since I came back to my aunt’s house from today’s expedition about 4 hours ago. It’s 10.37pm now. My sis and I have been exploring the whole of Causeway Bay, it seems, on foot the entire afternoon. We even went pretty close to the harbour, which is at the far right end of the island. I lovelovelove the weather though, although it’s VERY chilly at night. We walked the entire day and not a drop of sweat. :D

Today was pretty interesting. We witnessed three protest-demonstrations which is done against the WTO meetings which are currently going on in HK.

It was really a peaceful affair, with police accompanying the protestors. Heck, even some roads were closed at certain hours just for the protestors to hold their protest. Will this ever happen in Malaysia? :P I even made 3 videos of the last protest I saw, because they featured 3 drummers who did a good job arousing interest and sustaining it, simple because the beats were so damn addictive. :D Just drums, mind you. :)

HK is such a shopping h(e)aven!!!!! This morning, my aunt took my sister and I through the Wan Chai marketplace which is just like, 10 mins from her place, and I couldn’t stop salivating! Cheap and nice clothes everywhere!!! :D Causeway Bay also has myriad of shops, from high end, to hip-hop to underground….*faints* So many shops, too little money :’( I saw this Juicy Couture track set which comes with a jacket and a bottom, imported from Japan, which costs HKD625, about RM312.5. *drools* Really pretty, but unnecessary. Of course I didn’t get it.

What I managed to buy was a pair of really cute earrings for RM15, which I dub as my everyday-pair, and a DAMN CHEAP CHUNTED LIGHT JACKET WHICH COMES WITH FAUX FUR DETACHABLE COLLAR for a freaking RM25!!!!!!

I lurve it. I have always wanted something with fur trims, but in Malaysia, it’s always priced more than what I am willing to pay, but this is just RM25!!!!! Heheheh. Like……OMG! :D And it probably can’t be seen from the pic, but the body is made out of some velvet like material, a cross between felt and suede, whereas the sleeves are knitted stretchy wool. So deliciously fakely lux. :D And the detachable fur collar was the swaying factor, because if it could not be detached, I wouldn’t have bought it. Face it, a fur collared jacket in Malaysia is wayyyyyy overboard.

Besides this, we ate some nice extremely expensive lok-lok (RM3.50 each stick) at this shop which has an extremely expensive rental (about RM100k-200k a month!!) because of it’s strategic location just outside Causeway Bay. It’s really delicious though :D The “crispy fried huge intestines” (literal translation) smeared with sweet plum sauce….mmmmm!

Going to Victoria’s Peak tomorrow, cycling on some dam on Sunday, and Disneyland on Monday! Weeeee! Of course, Mongkok’s Ladies Market, Tsim Sha Tsui’s shopping area and Victoria PArk as well as HSBC HQ are on the itinerary.

Off to email my darling and family now! Toots!
